New Perspectives relies on the help of volunteers every season for the success of our productions! The bulk of our season’s activities fall from September to June. We are looking for people who want to get involved and have particular areas of expertise (press and marketing, community outreach, fundraising, event planning), and a general enthusiasm for theatre. We are always looking for new board members to help guide the organization to our 30th anniversary year. If you are interested in volunteering please contact us for more information. Thank you!

New Perspectives Theatre works with high school and college students so they can learn first-hand about the technical and administrative aspects of the not-for-profit theatre community through structured internships. The program places an emphasis on recruiting minority interns and helps to improve their communication, organizational and conceptual skills, and provide a mentoring experience for young people who may lack positive relationships with adults.
Undergraduate and graduate students from Antioch College, Hunter College, NYU, Oberlin College, Philadelphia's University of the Arts, Reed College, Rutgers University, Savannah College of Art & Design, SUNY Stony Brook, and The New School, among others, have participated in the program.
Rising seniors from high schools around the country have joined us for the past 10 summers through Discovery Internships Partnership and 10th-12th graders from NYC and New Jersey high schools have for many years completed academic internships in the fall and spring.
We also participate in Ladders for Leaders, a program of the City of New York which pays for 6-week internships for college students.
We also welcome adult learners interested in expanding their skills and experience. To date we have had visiting professionals from Canada, Tasmania, France and Germany.
If you are interested in becoming an intern, please send your resume, the dates and times you are interested in working, and a paragraph or cover letter explaining what you are interested in doing as an intern to email@example.com.
